Chitra one of the esteemed playback singer in almost all languages in India, has now been awarded with one of the prestigious awards by the Kerala State Government.
She has been awarded 'Vanitharatnam Award' and she has been delighted by the award and has scribbled on her facebook wall "Hello my dear friendsGood morning!!I have received an award known as Vanitharatnam Award from the Govt of Kerala.
I have received many messages from all over the world. I thank the Govt of Kerala and its dept of social justice and all my well wishers for this award.
Especially i am priveleged to receive this award along with some one like Prof.Hridayakumari who is like my mother and other luminaries".
